Chi-town garage rockers Twin Peaks were in New York City over the weekend to play 4Knots. A scheduled stop on their summer tour, the band have been on the road virtually non-stop since the release of their stellar sophomore LP Wild Onion last August. The young lads continue their touring ways with stops at Forecastle Festival, Lollapalooza and Outside Lands before heading back out on a fall jaunt supporting Wavves.

Exuberant is the best way describe Twin Peaks’ live show. We first caught them literally bringing down the house at Baby’s All Right last summer. Now a five-piece, the group’s band members include: bassist Jack Dolan, keyboardist Colin Croom, drummer Connor Brodner, and guitarists Cadien Lake James and Clay Frankel. Three of the five, Frankel, James and Dolan, are singer/songwriters, which adds fuel to their glorious on-stage energy.

With all the roadwork, it’s hard to predict when the group will release their next record. The last thing they dropped was their RSD single, “In The Morning (In The Evening)” / “Got Your Money”, which is available for digital download. Due out any day now is an exclusive Spotify Session they recorded with Spoon’s Jim Eno at SXSW.

Their next New York area shows are October 2 at Saint Vitus, which is already sold out, and October 6 at Irving Plaza.
