Tom Cruise’s Latest Mission, Slay Jimmy Fallon in Epic Lip Sync Battle
This may just be the Lip Sync Battle of the century, or at least the summer. Tom Cruise appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night amid his press doings for Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, and engaged the host in one of the most entertaining battles we’ve seen in a long time. Check out the clip below.
Cruise is no stranger to the onscreen lip sync. His history with the sport dates back to his Risky Business days. Fallon was a mere eight years old at the time. The actor also got his song on in numerous other films throughout his career, including Top Gun, Cocktail, Jerry Maguire, Magnolia, War of the Worlds, and of course, Rock of Ages.
In his duel with Fallon, Cruise opened with the song of the summer, The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face.” Fallon countered with his Mick Jagger moves, doing a refrain from “Undercover of the Night.” Then Cruise split into two people and did Meatloaf’s Paradise by the Dashboard Light. The epic ended with Fallon and Cruise re-enacting the scene from Top Gun with a great rendition of You’ve Lost that Loving Feeling. It was dedicated to Goose of course.
Cruise definitely still has it. Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation is in theaters this Friday. Watch the trailer after checking out the Cruise/Fallon showdown below.
