Thrillist’s Best Day of Your Life Heads to Williamsburg for 2016, Early Bird Tickets on Sale Now
Move over Manhattan, it appears that these days the best times to be had are in Williamsburg. Or, at least that’s what we presume based on Thrillist up and relocating its annual Best Day of Your Life (BDOYL) party from the East Village/Lower East Side to the North Brooklyn hood. Early bird tickets for the historically smashing affair, which goes down on Saturday, June 18, are on sale now.
Back for its 4th year, the BDOYL is an epic afternoon-long bar and restaurant crawl that takes place on the longest Saturday of the year. With maps and passports in hand, revelers self-navigate to a variety of establishments, each one playing host to a different one-day-only food-and-drink-fueled experience. Among the highlights of last year’s Lower East Side-dwelling soiree were a Saturday morning-inspired cereal bar with vodka cereal martinis at Lucky Jack’s, Samsung’s Museum of Instagrammable Moments, and Wild Turkey with a side of oysters at Grey Lady.
For 2016, the adventure transverses Williamsburg with stops at a dozen or so locations including hot sauce emporium Heatonist, The Gibson, Crif Dogs, The Meatball Shop, and the recently open new American pub Falcon Laundry. Along the way folks can indulge in a “Make Your Own Bloody Mary” bar, visit an empanada wonderland, and sip on margaritas while snacking on jalapeño-spiked white fish cerviche. The day’s festivities kick off at 1pm at Rough Trade with live music and close out with a swinging after-party at Oliver Stumm’s Italian restaurant Diviera Drive.
Tickets are on sale now and include access to every event location, complete with free food and drink. If you get on early bird pricing, tickets cost $65, otherwise general admission tickets run $75. For more information and to purchase visit the BDOYL website.
