It’s been a long time coming, but The Dead Weather have finally announced concrete details regarding the release of their third LP. Titled Dodge & Burn, the record is set to drop worldwide in September via Third Man Records and will include eight brand new songs along with remixed and remastered versions of four previously released tracks.

The supergroup, which consists of Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Jack White, Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (The Greenhornes, City and Colour), have been rendez-vousing in Nashville sporadically over the past year to record. The group will not be touring in support of the record due to the bandmates’ other commitments.

If you subscribe to Third Man’s subscription mail-order service The Vault, then you’ve already been given a taste of what The Dead Weather have in store for the new record. Back in 2013, Vault Package #18 included the 7” “Open Up (That’s Enough)” b/w “Rough Detective”. The more recent Vault Package #21 included “Buzzkiller” b/w “It’s Just too Bad”. Subscribers to the service will also be the proud recipients of Vault Package #25, a special, limited edition version of the album. It includes the LP on Inclement Weather vinyl with a Vault-exclusive alternate cover design by Rob Jones, a limited edition poster, the only physical version of the new Dead Weather 7” on yellow vinyl with black debris, and a deck of custom Dead Weather playing cards designed by Silent Giants.
