Stephen Colbert is doing his best to stay top of mind until The Late Show with Stephen Colbert premieres September 8. If you aren’t following him on twitter or subscribed to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert YouTube channel, we suggest doing so pronto. You’re missing out some comedic gems. He’s using this time to keep his comedy muscles in shape and to show his humor out of character. Everyone has been wondering how he’ll tackle The Late Show and these nuggets provide some insight.

For those not in the loop, highlights of his activities this past month include a hilarious interview with Eminem for a public access show in Monroe, Michigan, a response to the glitch that shut down the stock market, and a conversation about Pluto over Klondike bars with Neil Degrasse Tyson. He and his team also came up with an awesome 6-bit choose-your-own adventure game called Escape from the Man-Sized Cabinet. Players assume the identity of Stephen and must defeat an evil wizard named Merlock.

Stephen also has a podcast going. He has produced six episodes, plus a bonus. Each show runs approximately 20 minutes and finds him emerging from a man-sized cabinet to chat with members of The Late Show staff. You can listen in here. 

His latest antic, which launched today, is the first ever Virtua-Luncheon. Dubbed “Stephen Colbert’s Eating Lunch With Stephen Colbert”, the daily weeklong web series let’s you pretend like you’re having lunch with The Late Show host. The first installment features Stephen having a conversation with the camera as he snacks on baby back ribs, thin mints and Little Caesars. New videos will be posted every day around lunchtime, so be sure to tune in. You can find today’s video below and we’ll be updating this post with the other episodes.
