The unofficial start to summer just got a little bit brighter thanks to Nick Diamonds (aka Nick Thorburn). You may know Diamonds from bands Islands, The Unicorns, Mister Heavenly and Human Highway, or as the guy who came up with the theme for the hit podcast series Serial. Since February, he’s been teasing his new solo LP, City of Quartz. First he stung us with the menacing “The Sting”, and then he opened us up to “Witch Window”. Now, he has a new track to share, “Bohemian Groove”. It’s a playful, pop tune that reminds us of Return to the Sea, Islands’ stellar debut record. City of Quartz, which will be released via Diamonds’ own label Manque Music on June 16, is shaping up to be a brilliant indie electro-pop gem.
