Nick Cave Doc ‘One More Time with Feeling’ Returns to Theaters in December, Watch Video for ‘Girl in Amber’
Due to popular demand, Andrew Dominik’s One More Time with Feeling is returning to theaters in the U.S. on December 1st. The documentary, which chronicles the creation of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds’ new album Skeleton Tree, enjoyed a limited theatrical run in September when the album dropped. Along with details about the additional screenings, the band released a video for haunting album track “Girl in Amber”. It uses footage from the documentary and can be viewed below.
Dominik’s feature-length documentary not only explores the band’s creative process but also Cave’s grieving process, as his son died while he was working on the album. Dominick selected to shoot the film in black-and-white and 3D to give it a stark, fragile and raw quality. Thus, theatrical viewing is recommended in order to have the 3D experience. During its limited run in September, over 125,000 fans flocked to cinemas to see it.
In New York City, One More Time with Feeling will be returning to the Landmark Sunshine Cinema, IFC Center and The Beekman Theatre. It is also supposed to screen at the soon-to-open Alamo Drafthouse in Brooklyn.
