For the love of all things Swedish, this annual festival presented by Battery Park City Parks and co-hosted by the Consulate General of Sweden in New York transforms Robert F. Wagner Park and the adjoining Pier A Plaza into a Swedish wonderland. The culturally curious can snack on Swedish food, watch folk dancers frolic, listen to traditional Swedish music by Paul Dahlin and fiddlers from the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis, decorate the midsummer pole, make flower wreaths, or engage in Swedish games. Carlsberg beer will also be on tap. If you thought the country was only known for its meatballs and affordable furniture, think again.

The party is free to attend and happens rain or shine.
