For one night only, Brooklyn-based artist Narcissister is coming to the High Line to serve up one of her video and performance extravaganzas. The artist is known for her use of humor, pop songs, and elaborate costumes to explore issues surrounding gender, racial identity, and sexuality. This performance is part of the High Line’s Out of Line series, a summer-long tribute to the infamous Renegade Cabaret shows that Patty Heffley began staging from the fire escape of her West 20th St apartment when the High Line opened. The content of Narcissister’s performance is of an adult nature, so be sure to leave the kids at home, and show up early, space is limited, first come, first served.
