The first trailer for Eric André’s Bad Trip is here! And, from the looks of things, the hidden camera film, which features real actors pranking real people, is shaping up to be hilarious. It all makes perfect sense given who is involved with the project. It stars André, Lil Rel Howery, and Tiffany Haddish and one of its producers is Jeff Tremaine. Tremaine also produced Jackass and Bad Grandpa. Bad Trip arrives in theaters on October 25, 2019 via Orion. The trailer, which you can watch below, has the red band designation, only for mature audiences.

Bad Trip’s first trailer lays out the plot of the film and how the pranks are worked in. André wants to go on a cross-country road trip with his best friend Bud (Lil Rel Howery). However, they need a car. André’s brainstorm is to take Bud’s sister’s car. She’s in prison, so she shouldn’t miss it. However, when she breaks out, she comes looking for her “BAD BITCH.” Bud’s sister is played by Tiffany Haddish.

As for the pranks, they are incorporated into the plot of the movie. We see non-actor bystanders watch in shock as Haddish’s character emerges from the dirt outside a penitentiary. Or, people look on in horror as André falls off the top of a bar while making a toast to Bud. And, then there’s Bud sinking into a porta potty while an unsuspecting woman tries to save him.

Bad Trip is directed by Kitao Sakurai, who also worked with André on The Eric Andre Show. Additional producers include Dave Bernad (The Mule, The D-Train) and Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer.
