Jack Black, Talib Kweli & More Playing Eric Andre Birthday Party, Presale Tickets on Sale This Week [CANCELED]
While his birthday might be seven weeks away, Eric Andre already has his festivities planned. That’s the way you roll when you’re inviting nearly 4,000 people to party with you. For the comedian’s 37th birthday, he wants to take fans on a bad trip. That’s right. Similar to last year, Eric is opening up his personal riot fest to the general public. A presale for tickets to his birthday party, which goes down on Saturday, April 4th (Eric’s actual birthday) at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, begins Wednesday, February 12th at 10am PT.
When it comes to throwing killer birthday parties, Eric knows a thing or two. To commemorate his 35th birthday, he threw a Quinceañera. Last year, he hosted the ERYC festival, a parody of Frye Fest, the soiree took place at the Regent. Outside the theater, guests could visit a make-shift petting zoo, ride a mechanical shark, and have their photos taken with cut-outs of Bill McFarland and Ja Rule. Inside, Fat Tony, DJ Douggpound, Kate Berlant, Dekkar, Neil Hamburger, Hannibal Buress, and Danny Brown performed. You can read more about what went down here.
As for this year’s party, which he’s nicknamed Eric Andre’s Bad Trip Birthday Bu’kkake, the entertainment includes Mike Patton & Qbert, Lightning Bolt, Talib Kweli, Reggie Watts, Jack Black, and more TBA.
The shindig is sandwiched between the premiere of Bad Trip at SXSW and the film’s theatrical release on April 24, 2020. Bad Trip is Eric’s hidden-camera, prank, road-trip buddy comedy. Directed by Kitao Sakurai, Eric stars in the film along with Lil Rey Howery, Tiffany Haddish, and Michaela Conlin.
Other items on Eric’s 2020 docket include The Eric Andre Show Season 5, a Netflix comedy special, and his new Rapper Warrior Ninja series for Quibi.
