‘Blur: New World Towers’ to Have US Premiere at DOC NYC
Good news Blur-loving New Yorkers, that new documentary we reported on a few days ago, Blur: New World Towers, will be having its US Premiere at DOC NYC. We caught word earlier today via email that the film has been added to the documentary film festival’s already impressive line up and that tickets are now on sale.
Directed by Sam Wrench, Blur: New World Towers looks at the making of The Magic Whip, the band’s first studio record as a foursome in 16 years. The film features intimate conversations with the members of the group – Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James, and Dave Rowntree – as well as concert footage from performances in Hong Kong and Hyde Park.
Blur, who played the Hollywood Bowl earlier this week, are in New York to play Madison Square Garden tonight. Aussie sensation Courtney Barnett opens. Tickets are still available.
Blur: New World Towers will screen at DOC NYC at the SVA Theatre on Sunday, November 15 at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased here. Check out the trailer below.
