Tim Presley’s White Fence – “Forever Chained”
Tim Presley’s White Fence shared a video for “Forever Chained,” a track off I Have To Feed Larry’s Hawk, out now via Drag City. Directed by Sean McAnulty and Alex McLaren, Presley went with stop-motion claymation for the video. Creatures parade across the screen in a psychedelic universe filled with chains and pharmaceuticals. It’s a perfect match with Presley’s stripped-down, power-pop sound. Other tunes off I Have To Feed Larry’s Hawk with videos include “Phone,” “Fog City,” and the record’s title track, “I Have To Feed Larry’s Hawk.” The LP is available for purchase here.

Andrew Bird – A Drone Gives My Finest Work Yet a Lift
Andrew Bird is currently promoting the release of My Finest Work Yet, which dropped last week via Loma Vista Recordings (check it out here). Amidst all the hubbub about the record, his Instagram account surpassed 50K followers. To commemorate his newfound friends, Bird enlisted Matthew Daniel Siskin (aka Gambles) to create a special video. With My Finest Work Yet‘s “Olympians” as a backing track, the video answers the question: What if the vinyl edition of My Finest Work Yet was attached to a drone and sent up into the sky? See the results below. Siskin also worked with Bird on the videos for album tracks “Manifest” and “Sisyphus.” Bird has a bunch of shows coming up, check out the dates here.

Kevin Morby – “Nothing Sacred/All Things Wild”
It’s no secret that we totally fan out over Kevin Morby’s music. This week he shared a video for “Nothing Sacred/All Things Wild,” another track off his upcoming album Oh My God. Per the press release, the song is representative of the direction Morby and his producer Sam Cohen have taken with the new record. Instead of having that full band sound, Morby is accompanied by an organ, congas and some gospel-sounding backup singers. As for the mysterious video, it’s directed by Christopher Good, who also worked on “No Halo.” Oh My God is out April 26 via Dead Oceans. It is available for pre-order here.

Cate Le Bon – “Daylight Matters”
Cate Le Bon shared a video for “Daylight Matters,” the first single from her upcoming LP Reward. Le Bon sings of longing and loneliness in “Daylight Matters.” The video, directed by Casey Raymond, finds Le Bon in a red raincoat wandering around a desolate Welsh coastline. The landscapes while bleak are also quite captivating. Reward is due out May 24th via Mexican Summer, pre-order it here. Le Bon will be touring in support.

Jenny Lewis – “Red Bull & Hennessy”
Jenny Lewis follows up the release of her new album On the Line with a star-studded video for track “Red Bull & Hennessy.” Edited together from a telethon she hosted, “On The Line Online – The Three Hour Listening Party & Fundraiser,” which raised over $10,000 for the Los Angeles Downtown Women’s Center, the video features cameos by Beck, St. Vincent, Vanessa Bayer, Jason Schwartzman, Danielle Haim, David Arquette, Mac DeMarco, Tim Heidecker, Nikki Lane and more. It’s directed by Eric Notarnicola, whose credits include On Cinema, Nathan For You, and Eric Andre’s latest special Krft Punk’s Political Party. You can watch the entire “On the Line Online” special here. Lewis is also hitting the road; her tour dates are here. On the Line is available for purchase here.

Neil Hamburger – “Homeward Bound”
If you haven’t picked up a copy of Neil Hamburger’s Still Dwelling, what are you waiting? The album, which dropped in January, finds “America’s Funnyman” covering classic songs from the past 50 years. The album also contains one original song for good measure, “The Luckiest Man in The Room.” Hamburger, the fictional stand-up comedian portrayed by Gregg Turkington, has diligently been sharing videos for tracks off the LP since January. This week came a visual by Steve Moramarco for Hamburger’s cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Homeward Bound.” Still Dwelling is available for purchase here.

Black Midi – “Crow’s Perch”
Beware, the video below is posted with a strobe warning. It comes from London-based band-on-the-rise Black Midi. Directed and edited by Vilhjálmur Yngvi Hjálmarsson (AKA susan_creamcheese), the video is a mishmash of disjointed images and graphics. Black Midi took SXSW by storm and sold out two New York City area shows this month. They return to the states in July (including a show at Bowery Ballroom). Check out the band’s upcoming tour dates here.
