Sarah Silverman is busy at work on her new late-night series for HBO, and she needs your help. The actress-comedian wants audience input on the topic of obscenity and hate speech on social media. If you have a question or would like to comment on the subject, read on.

After Hulu abruptly dumped her Emmy-nominated series I Love You, America early last year, Silverman was looking for a new home. HBO, who worked with her in the past, came through in October with an order for a late-night series pilot.

Produced by Silverman along with Judd Apatow and Amy Zvi, her new show for HBO finds her “weighing in on the mishigas of the week and taking live video calls.” We imagine it’ll be like Dr. Ruth Westheimer meets The Daily Show.

When HBO announced the deal, Silverman explained, “I’m as passionate talking about my face-washing routine as I am talking about why billionaires cost us money. Nothing’s off the table, and nothing’s too high or lowbrow for me. I mean — look at my face — I’m literally all brow.”

As for where you come in, Silverman wants fans to submit video messages that she will address on the show. One of the first topics she’s tackling is the dark side of social media. Specifically, she’s interested in discussing hate speech and how it’s moderated. On Twitter, she put a call out for video messages under 30 seconds (see below). She’d like people to send in comments and/or ask questions on the subject. You can submit your videos via this form. And she says she’ll be watching every single one of them.

Besides the late-night series, HBO contracted with Silverman for a new stand-up comedy special. There aren’t many details yet, but we expect it will air sometime this year.

Silverman also has a movie coming out in 2020, Marry Me. Directed by Kat Coiro, the romantic comedy stars Silverman alongside Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson.
