The Culture File for August 15-18 (NYC Edition): Amy Schumer, Velveeta Pop-up Resto, Troll Museum & More

This week kicks off with National Relaxation Day, so we hope everyone spends a moment to find their happy place. If you’re a film lover, perhaps settling into some grass at Bryant Park to catch the Big Chill might do the trick. The film screens tonight as part of the HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival. Also this week, the Olympics and FringeNYC continue, and Amy Schumer’s new book, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, comes out. She will be at Barnes & Noble Union Square to promote it on Tuesday. A cultural exchange between Havana and Harlem is currently afoot with a festival that runs through Sunday, August 21. It features food, music, art, fashion, dance and more, details here. Looking for other ideas? Below you’ll find more recommendations including a Velveeta pop-up restaurant called MELT, a Stella Artois feast, and the resurrection of Reverend Jen’s Troll Museum.
