Dinosaur Jr. fans may want to think about calling in sick to work tomorrow. J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph are filming a music video complete with a special performance at the iconic House of Vans in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and the first 200 fans who show up are invited to be part of it. Filming begins at 3pm.

The video is likely for a new track off the band’s upcoming album Give A Glimpse of What Yer Not. Announced via a communique from Henry Rollins back in May, the new LP is due out August 5 on Jagjaguwar. The band have been garnering buzz for the new record by sharing it with their musician friends, including Kurt Vile, The National, Screaming Females, FIDLAR and Wolf Alice. All have given it glowing endorsements via YouTube videos, which you watch below. Additionally, you can check out the Laurie Collyer-directed video for the first new song off the record, “Tiny”. It stars Beefy, a skateboard-riding bulldog. The new album is available for pre-order now via the Dinosaur Jr. store, iTunes and Amazon.

Dinosaur Jr. are currently in the middle of a worldwide tour that finds them playing the Coney Island Amphitheater with Jane’s Addiction on Friday, July 15, Stone Pony Summerstage in Asbury Park, NJ on Saturday, July 16, and the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY on Sunday, July 17. Besides announcing there will be a special performance, things are pretty mum on the details of what and who will be doing the filming tomorrow, but word on the street is that there will be some cool surprises. May want to start queuing now.
