You may know him as the frontman of Los Angeles psych-rock band Wand, or have seen him playing alongside Ty Segall (he’s one of the Muggers), but now Cory Hanson is going solo. Drag City announced they will releasing Hanson’s debut full length, The Unborn Capitalist From Limbo. Along with the splendid news the label leaked the first single, “Ordinary People”. Give it a listen below.

Recorded in May 2016 in various locations across Los Angeles, The Unborn Capitalist From Limbo was conceived over the course of many months. It is said to showcase Hanson’s best writing to date and features string arrangements by musician and visual artist Heather Lockie. The first track, “Ordinary People”, is a glorious instrumental affair with gauzy harmonies and ruminative lyrics.

The Unborn Capitalist From Limbo is due out November 18 and is available for pre-order now via Drag City.
